Hyderabad’s Osmania hospital flooded again after heavy rain

The hospital staff and doctors have been demanding a new building from the government.

Yet again, Osmania General Hospital in Hyderabad is flooded after heavy rainfall with rainwater being seen inside the wards.

This time, the rainwater entered into Quli Qutub Shah Building of the hospital causing inconvenience to the patients.

The heritage building which was earlier flooded is now locked but it seems like the problem at the hospital remains the same.

The hospital staff and doctors have been demanding a new building from the government.

The nizam era 1,100-bed hospital heritage building is in dilapidated condition and hit the headlines after twice its wards were flooded with sewage-mixed rainwater.

Hyderabad has been receiving heavy rains. The weather department predicted light to moderate rain at times heavy, which likely to occur in many parts of the city. Heavy rainfall has been predicted for Thursday and Friday in the state.
